Flagge fürs Kunsthoch in Luzern
Flag for the KUNSTHOCH in Lucerne
Flags often have to do with territorial demarcation and bloodshed/violence. At the same time they represent an identity.
when considering what material is most suitable, I quickly came across the underpants. What piece of fabric is closer to us than this piece that covers our most intimate part?
at the same time, in women it is also connected to blood, which does not stand for violence, but much more for life.
The flag was placed in the river in front of the Chaff Bridge after a 20-minute walk alone from the university to the old town. I had collected some amused looks and comments. a beautiful act.
Although the flag was not in its chosen place in the river for long, as the police could not understand the relevance of this action, it stayed a few hours to dry on land, placed directly above.
(By the way, the placement would have been impossible without Laura Luterbach! Thank you for being there, I love you!)
By coincidence, interactions with tourists (selfies), old ladies who were fascinated by this clothesline, and the like happened all by themselves. many people looked at it closely and took the time to deal with it. I would like to know what was going on in their heads.
Finally, I walked with my mother through Lucerne to Stephan Wittmer's editorial office, where it was shown again as part of the art festival and then packed away.
Thanks again Laura, Thomas and mother for being there and documenting and everything!!!
